Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa1000 (771S7AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am writing to report an issue with the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity on my HP Victus laptop. Yesterday, while working on my laptop, both the integrated Mediatek Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cards ceased to function abruptly. Despite formatting my laptop to Windows 10 and attempting to use the driver detector to identify and install any missing drivers, I have not been able to resolve the issue. As my laptop is still under warranty, I kindly request your assistance in troubleshooting and resolving this matter promptly. Your guidance in resolving the connectivity problem with the Mediatek hardware would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Imadxgamer,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing quite a frustrating issue with your HP Victus laptop's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get them working again.

  • Check Hardware Switches: Ensure that the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth hardware switches are turned on. Sometimes, these switches can accidentally get toggled off.
  • Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Restart your laptop and see if the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work afterward.
  • Update Drivers: Even though you've attempted to install drivers, let's try again. Visit the HP support website specifically for your laptop model. Download and install the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers available for your operating system.
  • Device Manager Check: Go to Device Manager (you can search for it in the Windows search bar). Look for any devices under "Network adapters" and "Bluetooth." If you see any devices with a yellow exclamation mark, right-click on them and select "Update driver" to try updating the drivers again.
  • Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Sometimes, Windows updates can include fixes for connectivity issues.
  • Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status. Under "Advanced network settings," select "Network reset" and follow the instructions to reset your network settings. Note that this will remove all network adapters and set other networking components back to their original settings.
  • BIOS Update: Check if there's a BIOS update available for your laptop on the HP support website. Sometimes, BIOS updates can resolve hardware-related issues.

Hopefully, one of these steps will help you regain connectivity on your HP Victus laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
