HPSAwizard - thanks for your response. I do have Support Assistant installed, however when I run Maintain>Refresh, all is good and no pending actions; the computer is up to date. I do have "Check and install all updates automatically (recommended by HP)" selected. When I run HP Battery Check, it returns a Status: OK, Charge Capacity 98% result. Version installed is 4.0.16.0
I have tried to install the previously mentioned program with MS Security Essentials and Windows Firewall disabled; I also tried to install in Safe Mode. Nothing is working.

HPSAwizard - This is unbelievable. As soon as I posted my response, I look back at HP Advisor (after running SA>Maintain>Refresh) and NOW it shows "Battery 100% - Condition: Good". The only thing I did differently was to leave Support Assistant and HP Advisor open while I was working out my previous response.
And now, I look over and HP Advisor is again displaying "Battery 100% - Condition: Unknown".
Any clue what is going on here???

Open HP Battery Check and click on Help/About to see what version of HP Battery Check is instlaled and to see what the battery status is in Battery Check. HP Advisor reflects that status in Battery Check.
You really don't need HP Advisor. If you uninstall it, you can always see your battery status by launching HP Support Asssitant and selecting Troubleshooting/Battery/Battery Check.

There is not a conflcit between Advisor and HPSA. Advisor is not needed if you don;t want to use it. You can still use HPSA.
What was the status in Battery Check when you ran it? Also battery check has an Advanced view.

Looking at the Advanced View in HP Battery Check:
Status: OK (0)
Charge Capacity: 98%
Failure ID: OK
It is HP Advisor that returns "Condition: Unknown". Looks like the best solution is to uninstall HP Advisor. Any negatives in doing so?

Your battery looks great! Looks like it is new.
Removing Advisor has not negative impact. You may notice an improvement in performance since you will have one less program running.
Make sure you use HPSA to keep your system up to date. Also use Windows Update.

When i lanch battery check it displays a message- An error occurred while it was trying to access the battery. Re-insert the battery and the a/c adapter to retest the battery. It was working fine but after HP updates started to display the error.
The HP support Assistant version installed is 6.1.12.1 and battery check version is 4.1.0.2, error code is 94 and my product is G42. I tried all the suggestions listed nothing works. Please Help anyone Thanks.

I am sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing. What is the model of the product you are using? Also, try running another analysis using HPSA. Maybe the new version of Battery Check did not synch properly with your PC.
