i baught an HP G62-451TU with OS as DOS. i understand that drivers need to be installed. I picked up all the drivers and installed them. but problems with Bluetooth remain.
Its never fully functional. the Broadcom driver is unable to detect my bluetooth and asks me to properly plug it in. (wierd)
the rail link driver worked, found my phone and other BT devices. but then again only file transfer was possible.
i mean i couldnt pair it up with my cell phone's PC Suite niether can i use my phones Bluetooth remote control option.
Crux of the matter is that i cant get the Bluetooth of my Laptop to be fully functional as other BT's are.
Please assist.
Thanks

To explore your various Bluetooth issues there are several things that come into play, you need to know which Notebook you have and the best way is to find your Product number, not the serial number, that’s private so don’t post it on here, you would have to give it to support if you contacted them.
Here’s a link to finding your product number.
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
One of the reasons it’s so important to know your product number is that HP can sell model numbers that sound the same but are different, so you may all have a G62 but you may all have different Notebooks.
They can also vary by region, as can support and some hardware and drivers.
Here is a link to the worldwide directory for HP support, you can pick the country/region you are in and get the support near you.
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/wwcontact_us.html
And lastly I have posted a link to a document (yes it’s in English, sorry that’s all I read) on Bluetooth and Windows 7
Understanding Bluetooth Technology
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01060335
If you’re having Bluetooth issues make sure you check to confirm your Notebook came with Bluetooth, not all do.
Read and follow the document on Bluetooth and Win 7.
Make sure you don’t just download a driver because someone else listed it, how do you know it’s for your Notebook?
Check via your product number and then go on-line in your region to find the latest correct drivers for your Notebook.
I also always recommend making sure you have the latest BIOS version as well, and that will be in the same list as the rest of the drivers for your unit.
If you’re still having problems then contact the technical support in your region and tell them what you’ve tried and have them troubleshoot with you.
You may also have to contact the manufacturer of the Bluetooth device.
That's another important place to search for an issue you may be having, manufacturers of devices also post updates and issues on their sites, like HP do.
Good Luck.
