@ krazykev
Here is the HP install for Cyberlinks Power DVD 10. This is better then Media Smart.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53001-53500/sp53029.exe
It should work in XP with the latest service pack installed. Save the file to the desk top and install it from there, not from a temporary folder, if it will not install, post again and I will give you instructions on how to manually install it.
Note: Media Smart and Power DVD10 are 32 bit applications and will run on both 32 and 64 bit computers. On 64 bit machines they will be installed in drive"C" > Program Files (x86).

I installed HP Quick Launch Buttons.Mute in Win 7 goes on / off, but the note is lit in blue only. does not switch to the red / blue. What would it still be?
And then the button does not work Fn + (F1-F12).
Please do not know what to do?

@Frozovel
Try a hard reset, works sometimes.Disconnect all external devices first.
1-remove power cord and battery
2-press power button for 30 seconds
3-reinstall only power cord for first startup.
4-power on

I accidentally deleted the media smart software on my computer (Win 7, 64-bit). We have had problems with back-up since the beginning, so there are no back-up disks with this info in existence. Is there a site anywhere that I can download the program from? Or, do I need to go back to the original set-up (restore)?

Use HP Recovery Manager in your Start, All Programs menu to reinstall the software:
