Thank you,

I am running windows 7 64 bit on on my envy 14 beats edition laptop. Product Number: XZ211UA#ABA. The videocards in here are switchable between the standard integrated chip and the Radeon HD5650 video card. The current driver is the one offered from hp's website dated 2010. Sorry if I forgot any information.

Also when updating the driver via your directions, There were two drivers to select, one was the HD 5650 and the other was labeled something like radeon 5000 series. I installed the 5650 one. when that happened I restarted my pc and resolution was set to the 600x800 or whatever lowest is, the highest setting still wasnt what it currently is, and it says there is know video driver installed. I also updated direct x afterwords and rebooted but no difference. For the hell of it I ran the game but it set graphics to low and failed to initiate past the menu.

Let me know of any other info I can provide,

-Matt

I have hp paviliond dv6z-3000 ati pheonom ii quadcore 2.0ghz ati mobility radeon 5650. The 5650 driver did not work. Well it rather only used one card of mine, and it was the less powerfull one.

Hi, further to the request for an Envy14 compatible version of these drivers, I had the same problem, but my product number is WN967EA#ABU

I am really hoping that you can help me out! It's crazy that I have spent extra for a high quality laptop only to be faced with such terribly poor support!

Thank you for all your efforts, they're really appreciated!

HP is a POS when it comes to support. The 5650 driver hasn't been updated on the HP website since late 2010 (LAST YEAR) while the ATI website driver has had over 15 successive driver updates. Since we bought an HP laptop, we can only use the drivers that HP approves and assigns to us (FKN IRRITATING). It seems they have dropped support for this product long ago and will not be doing anything to fix. Never buy a HP laptop again, their service is absolutely horrible even after buying 2 laptops from them.

Hello all,

Sorry for the delay. I was out of the country and now I'm back and I will try to provide updated moded drivers for your notebooks.

Thank you!

Hi,

I have read thru the thread and it seems as if success has been reported with the HP DV6 and the driver you initially posted and then reposted at a new location.

I have a DV7 with the HD 5650 can I use the same instructions you provided. First difference I saw was that I don't have an intel HD driver displayed in my display adapters, only the HD5650 shows .

And thank you very much for your contributions...HP should pay you a ton of cash for helping all the customers (like me) who are ready to never by their laptops again.
