Hey,
I did a clean install of windows 7 prof and all my drivers got erased, I managed to find all of them again except for the SM Bus Controller which I cannot find ANYWHERE! So I would love if someone could link me up to where I could find the drivers.
Thanks!

Hi:
Please read this thread and see if installing the latest video driver solves your issue.
Look at the post toward the end with the green Solved checkmark.
If that doesn't work, you are going to have to do a google search by inserting the PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_780B in the search window.
AMD products give me fits trying to find their drivers. The device is an AMD SM Bus controller. That is pretty much all I can find from those details.

Hi:
Try the AMD southbridge driver download for Windows 7 at the link below:

Hi:
Please click on the missng SM Bus controller in the device manager.
Then click on the details tab. In the Properties drop down list, select the second item (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters you see there.
I want to see if those characters will provide more info on the missing device.

The link you posted did not help much since I already did a clean install of windows 7 when I got this problem, but a quick google search gave me a proper download.
Just out of curiosity, what does the SM Bus Controller Driver do?

Hi:
Glad you got it sorted out.
What was the driver you downloaded to fix the missing driver so we can help others in the future?
This is a brief article on what a SM Bus Controller normally does.
