I'm an IT administrator of a small company. We've recently started buying HP ProBook 6550b laptops, with Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 AGN wireless cards. I'd like to configure the wifi to become disabled when the employee docks their laptop at work and a cabled LAN connection is established.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks in advance,
Bill.

Hi, Bill:
In the BIOS device configuration menu, there should be a setting titled Enable LAN/WLAN switching.
Having this setting enabled will do what you are requesting.

Is there any way to do this on the Folio 13-2000? It would be nice if this was part of a Windows Tool/Application as we now would have to add steps to the post imaging process. It really causes issues when the wifi connects at the same time as the LAN, it wreaks havok on exchange and various other applications.

Hi, Ben:
There are no manuals for me to see what BIOS settings there are in the Folio.
If there is no LAN/WLAN switching option in the BIOS, then it can't be done.
I recommend purchasing HP business notebooks and desktop PC's for corporate environments.
They have a whole lot more BIOS settings to work with.
