Hi @Kaseywayne,

Thank you for posting on HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for the First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

I see from the post that you are having issues typing the password on your HP notebook. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

What is the product number of your product? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

What is the Operating System installed on the PC?

Have you tried to perform a Hard reset on the PC?

Have you tried to use an external keyboard and check if that helps?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Perform a Hard reset on the notebook:

If the issue persists, Restart and press the Esc key go into the UEFI menu. This will tell you that your keyboard works outside of Windows. If you still can't log in, at the sign-in screen, click the little white circle in the lower left corner and use the on-screen keyboard to click your keys from the mouse... and then when you are in Windows you can do more troubleshooting.

Alternatively, you can try using an external keyboard and check if that helps.

Please respond to this post with the details for further assistance.

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.
