You're very welcome!
You may want to install other software you may need such as the bluetooth software if you have bluetooth.
Not installing the HP Bluetooth software will give you the same problem as you had with the camera. The device will show up normally but it won't work.

Hi!
My lcd died, so i bought a new one, wich got a webcam (the old one didnt got).
The problem is its not working, however the motherboard got the connection.
Is it possible that a bios update will help or any other suggestion?

I read your post about installing software for 6730b. Here is a link to update the BIOS.
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07110
You could also try uninstalling the old software and reinstalling the new Webcam and Monitor. Just follow this document on your current Operating System.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks

Hey!
Neither of them worked.
Some other detail:
Model, HP Compaq 6730b
Sku number, GW687AV
BIOS, from 68PDD ver. F. 14 updated to ver 17.
Are the "6730b" s got the same bios or do they got individual bios for the cam version and another for the non cam version of the notebook. Cause if so i probably refreshed to a newer non cam version wich ofcourse doesnt helped.
Neither the bios nor the device manager sense the cam, and theres no unidentified hardwares in device manager.
Is there any way to make sure the cam itself is working without another working 6730b notebook?
Any other suggestion?
Thank you.

Hey HevonenKulli,
If you are in the Device Manager and right click on the Camera select uninstall.
Restart the computer. Go back in the Device Manager after restart. Is it there?
You can download it here for the software.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks
