I have an HP G60 notebook and recently it has had updates. It seems that when I restart it, it tries to do updates for Intel ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller Updates numbers 2938, 2937, 2935, 2936, 2939, 293A, 293C, and 2934. Everytime it tries to complete the updates they fail. I'm wanting to know how to get the updates to successfully install and if they are necessary for my computer. Thanks

Hi:
Please read this thread which seems similar, if not the same issue as you are having...Dont do anything with it, just read it.
Now, see this below post. This post was a continuation of the one above. Mumbodog's response should help you resolve that issue.

I was able to unistall the programs. Then I used Windows Update to check for the new updates. It said Windows is up to date. I am confused on what to do. I tried plugging in my iPod and it didn't detect it or start charging it.
PS I am not sure but I think I found the download I need from HP- Intel Chipset Installation Utility for ICH9m for Microsoft Windows 7. Want someones opinion and answer first
