Greetings sir erico ,

I tried removing the hard disk and powering up the laptop but nothing changed sir.

The laptop still wont open and the 2 LED lights are still blinking.

anything else i can do sir to troubleshoot / fix this manually (if ever possible)

thank you sir for the help

With all of what you have already tried it seems that you are down to replacing the BIOS eeprom chip. I have done it a few times. It would be pretty difficult for the average user to accomplish. I used a heat gun to remove and replace the chip. There are businesses that specialize in  that. Do an online search for BIOS chip replacement.

Try removing the hard disk and then pressing the power button. Does BIOS start up and complain that it can find no bootable disk?

erico

Thanks for the help sir erico,

Really appreciate it alot.

btw,

May I know the reason why this BIOS eeprom chip broke down?

Cause I rarely use that laptop, maybe 1-2hours a week and this is what I get. :Crying:

It just  that the BIOS ROM file can  become corrupt. With the newer notebooks that have UEFI there are ways around it. With a UEFI setup one can actually roll a BIOS back to a previous one if an update had been applied before.

I should have asked you this before, but is your notebook still in warranty?

Look at the barcoded tag on the base of the notebook. It should show the applicable timeframe.

Best regards,
erico

I am a total newbie in the IT, but could you please tell me how much would it cost me approx. if I want to fix this (I have the same [I think] problem - http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Lockups-Freezes-Hangs/Laptop-won-t-start-black-screen-some-LED...)?

YacoobPL,

Here are some of the things we (users) can do to check/troubleshoot the problem.

Troubleshooting Black Screen Displays with No Error Messages During Startup or Boot

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01997899

Troubleshooting LED Blink Codes or Beep Codes During Startup or Boot

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01732674

If the notebook does not start and a black screen still appears, contact an HP Service and Support technician for further assistance.

PS.

I'm not a pro in IT... all I replied is based on HP's website on how to solve a problem.

Thank you for your answer, unfortunately those solutions aren't working. I'm going to bring the computer to a technician (the HP warranty was only 1 year and I don't have it now).
