Anyone with a clue for the latest on a Compaq CQz-61 300 CTO with the integrated module (top upgrade possible)? The last I have is sp46063. Uniblue has done a driver upgrade, but I'd like the official HP one for a base to reset back to, if need be.

Hi
Ive got a Compacq Presario CQ71 Notebook with windows 7. No built-in bluetooth, so I use a USB adapter of i.t.Works.
Worked fine until last week. The computer does not recognise the device and does not find a driver. I downloaded a lot of drivers, tried the Broadcom driver update. Nothing works. On my windows xp pc, it still works fine.
The doggle keeps showing up under "other devices". Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hello,
I have a pavilion dv3650ev and I cannot make it work with a MW600 bluetooth headset. I 've read a lot of forums and tried numerous solutions, none of them worked. The bluetooth peripheral device could not find a driver, I found a microsoft port driver but still, as the "bluetooth stack COM stops working", and every hope goes down.
thank you in advance

I'm back, and I, not anyone else I (!) found a solution that works. In my search someone suggested that an update somewhere to windows 7 fragged the bluetooth system, kinda like locking some features out, or any update-ability, or something along those lines. Anyway. I found an HP service pack that seems to totally install or restore the bluetooth system (Broadcom-like, not sure if anything is a repair to the Microsoft bluetooth part...whatever). My computer, again, is a Compaq Presario CQ61z-300CTO (custom build order) with the HP integrated bluetooth module for 2.1 bluetooth, running on Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 Bit (x64). I tried a whole s-load of service packs; some failed qualifications, some weren't anymore current than what I had. Even Broadcom's auto update bombed. For me, the magic bullet is sp54245. I'd attach it, but it's 180+ MB. Yeah, it's rather complete. BTW, the missing peripheral devices were GATT and GAP Protocols. May be something to do with the SMS send/receive. Eh, who cares. I'M CONNECTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
