Hi:
The first one is the card reader:
Is your audio working? The manufacturer of the device is Realtek. It is showing it it as an HD audio device
If the audio is working, and you have the AMD graphics, it may be the Video HS audio driver missing.
If that is the case, go to the site below, accept the agreement, and download the 3rd driver listed (ATI HDMI Audio Device).

Hi,
I'm trying to connect an USB external drive HP model hd5000s to an USB port of my ProBook 6550b.
The OS is windows 7 pro 64bit.
When I connected first time, system returns the error RUNTIME ERROR 2 AT 00004AD4.
And now I have 2 unknown system base devices and 1 unknown device on my system device manager.
Device 1: Slot PCI 2 (Bus PCI 67, device 0, function 1)
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E230&SUBSYS_146D103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E230&SUBSYS_146D103C
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E230&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E230&CC_0880
Device 2: Slot PCI 2 (Bus PCI 67, device 0, function 2)
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&SUBSYS_146D103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&SUBSYS_146D103C
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&CC_0880
Device 3: Port_#0003.Hub_#0003
USB\VID_138A&PID_0007&REV_0072
USB\VID_138A&PID_0007
I have tried to install the Intel Management Engine Components Driver and interface form hp.com, but the problem persist.
Any idea?
Thanks!

Hi:
The first 2 need card reader drivers.
The last one needs the fingerprint sensor driver.
If you haven't installed the chipset driver, I would install that first and reboot before installing the others I posted above.
I do not believe that your missing the 2 drivers you posted are the cause of the issue.
But if you didn't install the chipset driver, that could be, as the chipset driver can load motherboard drivers for the USB controller.

Hi, Turke123:
First, install the chipset driver and reboot if you have not done so already.
It is always best to install the main drivers in this order and reboot after each install
1. Chipset
2. Graphics
3. Audio
4. Network
Now for your particular device. There are two variations, so it is a 50-50 shot which one you want to try first.
One of these two will get it though.

Hi:
I am not familiar with that error, and don't have an answer for you, but I did find this Microsoft forum post by someone with the same issue.
Please read through it and you may want to try some of the recommended actions.
Best Regards,
Paul

I have the problem again!
I have seen the USB device; the first time Windows suggest to me to format the HD (is an HP personal media drive, model HD5000s).
I have not formatted the HD drive but I begun to work with it. The first sign of problems with the drive was problems reading folders; finally the whole drive is not recognizable.
Now I have one unknown device in the USB devices list and the device doesn't work.
Do you know why?
Best regards,
Elisa
