Hi,
Based on its specs, it says: Multimedia Drive SuperMulti DVD burner which means no BD player.
Regards.

That model was sold with a BR player as an option, so it would be the most compatible and fit and match your model.
HP part number 666393-001 Blu-Ray disc R/RW FX SuperMulti drive (can burn blu-ray discs)
HP part number 666394-001 Blue-Ray Disc ROM FX SuperMulti drive (reads but cannot burn blue-ray discs)
You can buy direct from HP parts or google the part numbers and look for them on eBay or elsewhere. I would not buy one "Used"
666393-001 is $183 from HP in the USA, 666394-001 is $136

Hi,
In my situation, I would not upgrade the laptop. I go out to buy a BD player, much cheaper and definitely plays better on my TV.
Regards.
