Issue<Successfully Resolved>: In device manager, you will see 2 unknown devices.

  1. Network Controller
  2. PCI SIMPLE COMMUNICATION CONTROLLER

You will not be able to update the driver from Windows Update or any other source, possibly. This issue has been found specifically for TM2-2050US. The OS would be Windows 7 (64-bit).

One interesting thing that you will notice is there was no FAX/Modem shipped with this model. Hence, you might be confused with the PCI driver.

You will be able to see the following entry in the details tab in the Dev Mgr.

  1. Go to device manager and select the NETWORK CONTROLLER from unknown devices.
  2. Right click on it and select "Properties." Now, click on "Details" tab. Click on the drop down and select ‘Hardware ID.’
  3. Right click on both the unknown devices one by one and click uninstall.
  4. Click on Action >> Scan for hardware changes.

Now, click on the below links one by one and install the drivers after downloading them

You need to download and install the wireless drivers for the Broadcom device. You may try one of the following drivers depending upon the OS installed.

Hi,

I followed both steps but I could only successfully install the first one. When I try to download the second one I get an error message saying: "This computer does not the minimum requirements for installing the software.

What do I do in this instance? My wifi was working at first before I installed the  Windows 7 Ultimate.

Please help.
