I have that problem now and have replaced the card as suggest by HP support, but it is still not working.  It just stopped working one day and I am frustrated. I bought a USB wireless card, but for some reason it works at my home but when I went to my sister's, it didn't.  Please tell me what to do to get this working.  Thank you

Hi trmotley, I have again your problem (it started a week ago) so I will try a procedure (reported down) that solved me the problem last year... [I learned this procedure by an italian forum (a guy has recieved this procedure from the HP assistance)] 1- switch off the laptop and remove the battery. Leave the laptop switch off at least for 2 hour 2- without battery and plug, push the "start button" for 1 minute 3- switch on your laptop and enjoi the "wireless switch" Bye Fede

Fededado, I tried your suggestion and it still did not work.  I tried it with both the old wireless card and the new card that I bought and both resulted in the same orange light.  :<{

Thank you for your help.

In my case I could switch on the wireless from the "devices manager" (I don't know if it is the correct name for that menù... I have the italian version of windows), you have to right click on the wireless card name and than to click on "enables"... after this the led turns blue and the wireless starts working (but in any case the button doesn't work if you touch it)

i cant connect wireless as the switch is Orange. it cant turn blue no matter how many times i press.
