Hi,
Download and install HP Quick Launch Buttons on the link below.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53001-53500/sp53135.exe
After the installation has completed, restart the notebook and see if you can now adjust the brightness.

it contains "standard VGA graphics adapter"....there are 2 devices with the same name and the first one is also having a yellow spot on it...i have installed the catalyst controller from the hp website but still no solution...
you are right that it may b a problem of graphics driver not properly installed as earlier when i was able to switch my graphics card b/w ATI and Intel but currently can't (due to laptop being flashed totally)...so plz suggest me or provide a link for "ATI Mobility Radeon Premium grahics" driver...thnx for so much support sir.

Hi,
Download and install the graphics package on the link below - this contains both the drivers you require for your switchable graphics.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50501-51000/sp50640.exe
After this installation has completed, restart the notebook.

Hi,
First of all, go into Device Manager, right click on the device with the error icon against it and select Properties. Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.
