My dv9000 screen stopped working and i heard there is a class action suit in this regards?

The class action was against nVidia the chipset maker for the video and it closed close to a year ago.

There are many places that do DV2000, DV6000 and DV9000 board level repair. "infrared reflow"

Price range $75 - $150.

Check to see if it can not be repaired there is no charge.

This is just one example on ebay. "There are many"

Also check to see if there is a company near you.

Good luck.

Hi,

I got the NVIDIA chipset OVERHEAT problem on my dv9700 laptop. Is it too late for the free repair for the class action lawsuit?

I never, ever received anything (Email, letter) from HP about this problem and the repair. I've registered my laptop when I bought it, a while back.

Thanks

Welcome Laf4sens.

Yes it to late."SORRY"

The only way to get repair is to check in your local area for someone that does REFLOW.

Or check ebay.

If you look at my post above you will find some.

Sorrry.

Thanks for the information and the advice. Only one thing.... I live in Canada and bought the laptop in Canada. Does all the information that you sent me applies. To Canadian customer as well?

Thanks!
