Symptoms

 

In case your Windows is acting weird, is extremely slow or fails to load, you may want to restore the device to factory default condition. In addition to that, you may want to reset the device if it changes ownership (donations, presents, etc)

 

 
Solution

 

This is possible thanks to special hidden recovery partition(s) stored locally in your computer's HDD. If they are present and intact, you do not need to use additional media, DVDs, USB drives. The process, known as HP System Recovery,  removes all hard drive data and reinstalls the original operating system, drivers and preinstalled apps.

 

HP Recovery Manager can be accessed from the Windows Start Menu or by tapping F11 key immediately after powering on the notebook/PC.
