Product: HP Officejet 4635 e-All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Chrome OS

Our HP Office jet 4630 needed black ink replaced, so we bought the HP 61

 We then received this message

 We thought the ink cartridge was defective so we went back to the store and exchanged it for another one and we still received the above message. However, if we put the empty cartridge (the one we were replacing) back in the printer reads it as being empty and tells us the printer will print in the one cartridge print mode. When we put the replacement in the printer will not print at all. 

Why is our printer telling us the new 61 black ink print cartridge is incompatible? Please help.
