Just as the person in this topic, https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/HP-Laserjet-P1102w-veery-slow/td-p/6566153 I am experiencing super slow printing. It takes up to 10 minutes before the printer starts printing. The printer is setup over WiFi. Over USB it prints the first page fast, but additional pages take a few minutes.
Funnily enough, when printing from a MacBook via WiFi, it starts spitting out pages instantly.
As described in the other thread, I tried to locate Quiet Mode, but cannot find it anywhere. Perhaps someone can share a screenshot?
Ideas to fix this are welcome of course.

Hi @Da_King,
I'd like to help!
Try the below suggestions-
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Turn off Quiet mode (Windows 10)
Turn off Quiet mode using HP Printer Assistant software:
-
Search Windows for HP, and then double-click the name of your printer.
The HP Printer Assistant software opens.
-
Click Quiet mode icon at the top of the bar.
-
On the Quiet mode tab, select Off option and then click Save to turn off Quiet mode.
If the issue persists,
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to check connectivity
Download a special version of HP Print and Scan Doctor specifically created to help with printer offline conditions.
- Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
- Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
- Once HP Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Start, and then select your printer.
- If your printer in not in the list, turn it off and on, and then click Retry.
- If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in HP Print and Scan Doctor.
- If a screen prompts you to turn on printer updates, click Yes.
- If a screen prompts you to make your printer the default printer, click Yes.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for assisting Jay_G24.
1. Printer has been reset.
2. Unable to find Quiet Mode. When doing Start/Search/HP, all I get is HP Smart. From the HP Smart, I select my printer, go to Advanced, which brings me to the browser window where I can see the setup, but also there I cannot find Quiet Mode. (see screenshot).
3. But somehow it seems to be working now.... So I think running the Print & Scan Doctor did the trick!
Thank you for your help 🙂

You're welcome 🙂
The quiet mode option is available on the HP Printer assistant not on HP Smart.
You would have to install the HP Full featured drivers to get the HP Printer Assistant page
If you need further assistance feel free to reach out to us.
Have a great day ahead!
