HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer

Hi, I moved from the USA to the UK about a year ago, and brought my printer with me (Envy 5530). In the UK, the standard ink cartridge for this printer is 301 - the 61 cartridges that I was used to are very hard to come by, and very expensive here.

From a previous conversation, there is a way to reset the Region in the printer, so that it will accept the new (301) cartridges. After installing these cartridges, you will see an "Incompatible Cartridges" error message. At that point you need to open the main software package installed with your printer - for me this is labelled "HP ENVY 5530 Series". Note that this is separate from the "HP Smart" software that you may also have installed. From the "HP ENVY 5530 Series",  Click "Estimated Ink Levels" - this will open a separate window titled "HP Envy 5530 Series Toolbox". You'll see the graphic representations of the colour and black cartridges, but they will each have a red X because they are incompatible:

With the cursor/mouse in the blank area (highlighted in blue), Press CTRL, ALT and right-click at the same time (it's different for Mac, sorry!). This will bring up a Device Region Reset screen. There's an option to Copy the information to the clipboard. Do this - mine looks like this:

Printer SN: [Personal Information Removed]
Total Page Count: 2691
TriColor Ink ID: D0521F62145C36AF
Black Ink ID: 004773E2182C4D89
RX(last 4 digits): 0000

This is the information that HP Support need to issue with a series of 6 codes, which when submitted, will update your printer's region, and allow the use of the local cartridges.

Note, I will not post my codes here, and you should not use any codes found online, as incorrect codes may permanently brick your printer! Only trust a series of codes that you have received from HP Support, in direct connection with the information you copied and sent to them.

@HPSupport, based on the information above, could you DM me the codes I need for my printer?!? Many thanks!
