I originally had an issue with the ADF scanner having a black bar over the scan.

Cleaning the printer bed and ADF transparent piece of plastic did not solve the issue.

I looked at the transparent piece of plastic and noticed it already had too many creases.

Testing the scan proved that the transparent piece of plastic was the issue.

The main issue is by removing the plastic piece the ADF cannot push the page all the way through.

I looked at replacements and the ADF assembly costs over $150 [probably more since it's outdated]

They didn't sell transparent piece separately.

I tried several generic transparent sheets, there too thick causing a blue tint.

Where can I find a ~$0.05 piece of plastic to replace it?

As this is an HP support forum you will probably get a better answer on Epson support.
