Hi @Crolady,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

For your HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer, follow these steps to resolve the paper jam caused by the heavier weight paper.

Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source to ensure safety while working on it.

Open the front cover:

  • Lift the scanner lid or top cover to access the paper path.

Check the paper tray and rear of the printer:

  • If the jam is visible in the paper tray, carefully pull the paper out of the tray.
  • If the paper is jammed inside, gently pull it out. Be cautious not to tear the paper; if it tears, remove all pieces.

Check the rear access (if applicable):

  • Some HP printers have a rear access door that can be opened to remove paper jams. Look for a flap or door on the back of the printer.
  • Open it and carefully pull the jammed paper from this area.

Check the printer rollers:

  • If you can't see the paper, the rollers inside may be preventing it from coming out. Gently turn the rollers to see if they help release the paper.

Reassemble and test:

  • Once the paper is removed, close all doors and covers, plug the printer back in, and power it on.
  • Try printing a test page to confirm the jam is cleared.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
