Please visit forum topic 'HP Solution Center Not Working (probably flash issue)' for the solution

@Jim412 came with the steps needed and now I have got the Solution Center successfully running on W10 64-bit version 20H2! See message n. 34 in the topic (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/HP-Solution-Center-Not-Working-probably...

Good luck to everyone in following the road to success!

Can't find your post from today, but I tried the HP Scan and Capture App from the Windows store, and it works great!!  So much easier for a non-tech person than following 13 steps that require me to know what I'm doing . . .

I installed HP Scan and Capture, but it does not recognise my HP printer, so I'm back at square one. Please, HP, make a solution, this is mad.

Don't expect anything from HP. You can find a statement on their customer support site about Solution Center now Flash is officially over.

I cannot access HP Solutions in order to scan since Flash Player is no longer active.  I have Vista system.  Is there anything that can be done to continue activating HP Solutions so I can scan photos and documents?

Hi,

I have the same problem and I have no solution to fix the HP Solution Center, but I have a work round, which can be useful, if the posted solution does not work. The core of the problem is that, HP Solution Center apparently check for Adobe Flash player, which is completely unnecessary, as it runs and works without Adobe Flash player.

You can use either HPSDU or HP Print and Scan Doctor, which are testing the printer and as port of the test, they run a test scan, using the HP Solution Center, including saving to PDF with OCR . HPSDU is more difficult to find a sit is older, but it is also quicker.

You can download them for Windows from here:

HPSDU:https://www.winsite.com/hp/hp+fan+control+utility/

or https://www.2shared.com/file/vB8SwzCv/HPSDU.html

HP Print and Scan Doctor: https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/printscandoctor

There is a similar old software for printer testing:

HPPDU: https://download.cnet.com/HP-Print-Installation-Diagnostic-Utility/3000-2086_4-75567361.html

or https://www.freefixer.com/library/file/HPPDU.exe-66980/

I have these tools from many years ago, when I have another problem with the printer.

Good luck,

Zoltan

You can still make Hp Solution Centre Work as follows:

1) Find and download this flash player installer: flashplayer32_0r0_371_winax.exe

2) Right-click flashplayer32_0r0_371_winax.exe and choose Troubleshoot Compatibility
3) Choose Windows 7

This will install the last version of Flash that did not have a kill switch.

Just make sure Flash is not enabled in your browsers.

I tried all the "solutions" I could find and none worked with my old but reliable Hp ScanJet 4370, except for this.
