Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer

My printer lost its connection and I could not fix it using the print scan doctor. So, I disconnected the printer and attempted to reinstall the software and kept getting an error message. I entered a chat box and was told my computer was infected and the support person tried to sell me anti virus software which I declined and disconnected from the chat. Then I called geek squad and they told me the website I was trying to download from was illegitimate.  I think others have encountered the same problem. They were able to get me connected and completed a virus scan.

All too common a story sadly. New scam sites pop-up constantly with designs that mimic actual HP sites and it is very easy to get fooled.
