i tried to find a place to download the printer toolbox software and it is nowhere to be found!  the "utilities" software is merely a "let me help you install your printer" program, and my printer is already installed and using the latest driver.  so now where am i supposed to find the printer assistant utilities that do cartridge aligning and cleaning and checking of ink levels, etc.  I am 100% disappointed in HP's customer support:  no chat, noemail, no nothing -- you are left HIGH AND DRY and day after your warranty runs out.  It speaks volumes for there level of appreciation for their customers!

Hi seonken, 

 

The toolbox is part of the Full Feature software and driver package. There is no full feature software avaible for this older printer on Win 7. The only software available is basic driver through the operating system which doesn't include the toolbox software. Check out the following document below.

I have the HP deskjet 5550 and I am running windows 7.  And if you're going to tell me that you don't have software to run on that operating system, I'll ask you why not, because there should ALWAYS be software available for newer operating systems.  Otherwise, you're telling your customers, "please stop using our printer now and use someone else's!

I have the HP photosmart D110A and downloaded the full featured version software for XP BUT,  guess what?  The TOOLBOX   is  NOT  included.    All you get from this HP site is a runaround, not support.  ANd it 's the last HP product I will ever buy and I will let everyone will know about it.

Hi thatpat,

 

To access the toolbox using the D110a software you will need to follow the steps below.

 

  1. Make sure the product is on and connected to the computer.
  2. Double-click the HP Digital Imaging Monitor ( ) on the Windows taskbar.
    HP Solution Center opens.
  3. In HP Solution Center , click Settings , and then click Printer Toolbox .
    The Printer Toolbox opens.
