Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

MacBook Pro
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

The printer prints. Once. Then, if I want to print additional jobs I have to go through the wireless install wizard because the printer will not stay connected to WiFi.

The WiFi blue light on display indicates it's on, the printouts say it's connected and yet when I try to print, the print job does not see the printer and I have to go through the install steps again.

Yes, I've done the "unplug, wait, restart" steps.

I've checked for new drivers: none.

I've dowloaded the HP Smart and run the "diagnose and fix" with two error messages that have no solution, as far as I can see.

Is this HP's way of getting me to buy a new printer??

So frustrated because something similar happened with a previous HP printer model so I guess they build them with obsolescence built in.

Any solutions other than the above noted ones?

Anyone??

Please ensure the printer has the latest Firmware installed https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Next assign a Manual IP Address

1) Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can print a Network Configuration page to obtain the IP address.

2) Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.

3) Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.

4) Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)

5) Click Manual IP

6) If you see a Suggest a Manual IP Address button, click Manual IP address, and the Manual IP addresses are automatically filled out for you.

7) If your page does not have a button to suggest a manual IP address, type the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway using the numbers shown in the report you printed.

Thank you
