HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a

I turned off an older HP printer (HP Officejet Pro 8600) and cannot get it to print now. How do I find the network security key? I reset it to the factory default setting and ran the Wizard but it says that more than one router has been found and I need to change our SSID which is already unique. Need that network security key but don’t know how to find it (this is NOT my forte!). Please help if you know how to solve this. Thank you!

Hi @KHall7,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that your printer is not printing. I'd like to help!

The network security key will be at the back of your router, or you can talk to your service providers for the key.

Wifi Password and Network Security Key are the same, It is usually provided by your internet providers.

Have you done a "Restore Network Defaults"?

Reset network settings

To reset the administrator password and network settings, complete the following steps:

1. On the printer control panel, touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network.

2. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then select Yes.
A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
