printer will not connect to smart ap.

printer will not communicate with the lap top. i can't print because it says wrong ink on the smart app.. it will not let me. so i can not find the number i need to verify a new printer, if it would even let me. Claim number.  i was printing just yesterday. now nothing.  It never really worked except printing. I just figured it was me and i'd fix it when i needed to use it. Now the warranty is out. ugh!

it says it's my printer and they sent the ink based off of the hp smart app.

I did try to calla while back, but quickly realized the number on the hp page was a scammer. I never called again and then several attempts at chat and it's a joke.

Who are the "they" who sent ink?

True - phone numbers you find on the web are likely scams - this is a general "watch your backside" warning.

Good job not getting into trouble with these people.

If this is all about an Instant Ink subscription and the "they" is the Instant Ink service,

If the ink is wrong - that is the cartridges are incorrect for your printer,

If you have not done so,

You can choose to contact Instant Ink Support and ask for help.

Normally, you can access Instant Ink Support from within your Instant Ink account.
