HP 3639

Hi,

Context:

- We had an HP 3639 for years, connected to the Web Services. A day, we decided we had to associate a printer to some other HP account, to subscribe a Instant Ink Plan. In the process, we ended up factory resetting the printer, and disabling the web services.

Problem:

- No matter what we do, we can't enable Web Services now. We always get the error that may be a DNS or server problem.

Actions tried:

- Static IP

- Static IP with google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)

- Auto IP  with google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)

- DMZ on the router for the printer Static IP

- Factory resetting multiple times

- Tried on  different Windows devices (which is irrelevant since I'm trying in the Web Interface)

Other considerations:

- Printer Firmware updated

- Everything done through the Web Interface

- We tried this 6 months ago, and since then we had a new/updated router. Problem persists.

- We have no Proxy settings whatsoever

- Printer works fine through Wifi

What else can we do? When we first tried to resolve this, we created a case with HP Portugal support, but they couldn't help us (we basically repeated everything I mentioned above), and then they were supposed to call back, but never happened (I don't have the case ID anymore)
