Hello Chrisjimenez71,
Sorry for the confusion and I hope I can clarify this issue. Your printer does support printing photo's, documents and web pages using the Home and Biz app, however it does not support ePrint. To register this app at ePrint you MUST have an ePrint printer, if you have the ePrint registration opened on the app you need to cancel the registration because this printer will not register using it, but if your mobil device is on the same wifi network as the printer you can print using photo albums, saved files and web browser (located at the top left of the app) . I hope this has helped clearing up any confusion. If you want to use the ePrint portion of the app you would need to get an ePrint printer if you need a list of ePrint printer just let me know.
If I have helped you solve your issue please mark it as solved

Hi,
The HP ePrint Home & Biz do support your product.
The Application compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, or Android Devices.
You may find the information how to install the App below:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01616126
On the following document you may find how to use the App:

If you have any other Smart Phone, please let us know which type and OS it is as there is also the HP iPrint Photo App for some Windows models and Nokia Symbian.

I have seen that link before, and unless I am completely dilusional, the chart shows that for a Deskjet F4580 Series, the "HP ePrint Home & Biz" = Yes.
I understand that the newer print-from-web feature is not available on my printer, but I should at least be able to print from other mobile devices on the same wifi network. However, no where can I find any information on how to set up the printer, only the mobile apps.

As you are already aware, the HP Deskjet F4580 Printer supports 'HP ePrint Home & Biz' but not 'ePrint'and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, or Android Devices. Because the Deskjet F4580 does not support 'ePrint' you will not be able to 'ePrint register' your printer. 'HP ePrint Home & Biz' and 'ePrint' are not the same thing. I hope this helps.

No, that information does not help, and it contradicts what is published on the HP website. While I understand that I cannot get print-from-the-Internet functionality that the full ePrint feature allows, ePrint Home & Biz claims "You can print wirelessly to supported HP products in a local Wi-Fi network". Combine this description with the compatability chart that shows my printer, Deskjet F4580 series, as supporting ePrint Home & Biz.
However, when you try to use the ePrint Home & Biz app on either iPhone or iPad, it wants an ePrint registered printer, and does not allow you to search for a normal wi-fi printer on the local network.
What I really need help with is for someone to tell me how to configure my product for functionality that you publish as being available for my printer (as detailed above).
