I have the same problem as many others in that.... scanned files are not in the destination folder.... and the drop down screen in Solution Center for "scan to" is blank so the files go to nowhere? I DID run the patch

CPE_SCAN_DESTINATION_UPDATE_hpcom_001_003.exe  but it tells me " This update does not support device drivers you have on your PC. You do not need this software update". WTF!?!? How can I fix my L7780 AIO printer??  Installed on Win 7 64bit

I have the same problem.  My HP L7580 used to work fine.  I'm not sure whether it stopped scanning when I moved from XP to Vista or when I updated my printer driver.

I have an officejet pro l7590 and am having the same problem where scanned documents disappear. I updated to the latest software (v14) and no luck. The patch mentioned here does not fix things. I tried going back to the old driver version but am unable to install it after removing v14. I also tried the removal tool but that seemed to totally screw my laptop up and had to do an image restore.

Anyone have a solution for this? Thanks in advance!!!

Is there anyone from HP here that can offer a solution?

Well add me to the list.  Converted from Vista 32 bit  to Win 7, 32 bit on my All-In-One L7555.  Downloaded new drivers, got all patches.  After that check to be sure no new patches available.  Got the same message that the patch "fix"for this problem was not applicable to my driver.  Is anyone home at HP???????

Does HP monitor these forums?

Surely there must be a solution to this problem other than buy another brand of AIO!!!!

Documents I scan from my new HP AIO seem to go to the bit bucket; where are they supposed to land??  I select Scan to Computer, then PDF, and after a lot of whirring and grinding...nothing.  And the so-called HP Solution Center is nothing but a black window with no content!  And the so-called User Guide provides no useful information.  This is truly crappy.  My five-year-old el cheapo Dell AIO does way better.

Add me to the list. Scanner goes through the motions but file does not save to the destination location (just disappears). I also got the "you don't need this sorfware update" when trying to load the patch. Using a HP office jet pro L7590 on a 64bit windows vista computer. I have exausted all known means of resolving this issue. If HP does not find a solution fast, I will need to purchase a new all-in-one and it will not be an HP. This is clearly a problem and HP has not responded to this thread in over a month.

Apparently no one from HP with a solution reads these scan problems. I have the exact same problem > scanned images disappear after finish scanning. Please help us!!

Here's how to solve the problem. Quite simply, Vista sucks, and there lies the problem. I had the same exact problem. Not even HP support could fix the problem (costing me about $25.00 for support for my out of warranty HP Officejet Pro). The solution? Windows 7. Install Windows 7 and your problem will be histrory. For some reason, the HP updates don't install properly with Windows Vista.
