Hi, when I try to scan, i get a message that my OCR application is not installed. How do I do this?

Hey @viviennenov ,

 

Thanks a lot for the question, now lets get you an answer!

 

OCR is HP's "Optical character recognition"  tool that is used for scanning with HP's printing devices. This tool is a primary source needed for scanning with HP.

 

So for me to be able to instruct you on how to get this software I need to know what operating system you are using. Press the link to find out, in case you don't know already. http://whatsmyos.com/

 

If you are using Apple we will have to go online and get the remaining software off off hp.com; however, if you are using Windows then you can download the HP Print and Scan Doctor and use the "Fix Scanning" utility to get the remaining software needed to have you up and scanning. :generic:
