Hello, I purchased the HP Photosmart 7515 printer. I am getting the same regstration error that the printer is not connected to the internet. I also tried connecting the printer directly to the router and received the same message.  Has anyone seen this error message and know how to correct it?

I am also having this problem. It says I'm not connected to the internet but I am. Everything else works.

I am having the same problems. I get through the registration process and it states I am not connected to the internet. I have restarted my computer, printer, and router. Everything is connected but it is not not registering it in the eFax app and I am definitely not about to pay $36 to get started when I rarely send faxes.

I need help (where is everyone???) for the same problem.

Registration won't go through with the printer.....and eFax people won't even help me. I tried to get help

with eFax by phone....and after a half hour and "trying" to to to SEVEN different people.....I still had no help and

they connected me with INDIA!!!!!!!!!!   HP...what's the deal??????

When you register on the printer, it will ask you to enable eprint. After clicking on enable the instructions take you to the efax registration which of course fails. The solution for me: Went to eprintcenter.com signed up and added my printer. Once that was complete I registered for efax again on the printer and it worked I have the photosmart 7515

I am beginning to think that the efax Free account is no longer available.  It is not listed on the eFax account anywhere, and that may be why registering via the printer does not work - the registration widget may have been taken down by eFax.

 

Sucks, too, that was the only reason I bought this model and not the next cheapest eprint all-in-one.

On a different thread with the same subjet...some of us found the answer.  I went back and copied my posting...and am putting it here.

Hope somehow this helps a few others.

THank you....Thank you....Thank you....  to the poster just before me....eyepaq I believe.

It was your keen attention to the fact that the eFax was turning "OFF" the eprint when it was supposed to be turning it 'on". I checked mine....it had been doing the same thing. I then when, after going into "tools" and turning it on, I then hit the little icon at the top left (eprint icon) to confirm it was still on and then immediatly tried the eFax again. This time it bypassed the part where it asked me to "enable” eprint. It went through the entire registration process......but this time....instead of an error...................it worked!!!!  I finally have a number!!!!   I know how totally crazy this made me.....so I can only hope that someone manages to make theirs work through these hints.

hi please help i have tried to get efax working, i am supposed to get 20 free faxes to send/receive but i am unable to send any, i have followed all instructions setup from printer panel ect but no luck, i thought was problem with printer so exchanged for new 1 but still the same, for some reason efax does not recognise account as hp efax

Hi paulsavo,

 

When you click on your eFax app, do you see your eFax number?

 

When you originally setup your eFax account, did you set it up on the printer or on your computer at eFax.com.

 

Also, who is your internet service provider and what's your wireless routers name and model number e.g. Cisco Lynksys WRT54G, Netgear WNDR200, Actiontec, Arris, etc.?
