Changed yellow ink, then rec'd msg, missing or damaged print head, how to fix prob., why did it happen?

I have been having much trouble with my HP 6500 all-in-one.  Now it will not print at all, tried everything that is listed, says to use the "help", but there is no way to print.  Printer sitll does scanning only.

Today that message comes up on the printer. Printhead missing or damaged?

  Before that is has been "paper mismatched".  How did it become "paper mismatch"?  Haven't changed any printing instruction regarding paper to print.

My  printer is saying printheads is missing or damaged . I have change the ink. What should I do now?
