Our networked CP1515n has been displaying some foreign language set and unused for a while. When I did a full reset today, the menu now displays in English but the yellow toner is empty and we have no backup for now. Is there any way to resume printing just black & white documents until we obtain a replacement toner? I can't seem to get it "online".

Ok, let's see if we can walk through and do an override, please follow the steps below.
Press the "OK" button on the front panel.
Use the "< or >" arrows to highlight - "Print Quality" Press "OK"..
Use the "< or >" arrows to highlight - "Replace Supplies" Press "OK"..
Use the "< or >" arrows to highlight - "Override out", Press "OK".
Now this should allow you to continue to print. Please post your results.
Thank you,

Hello,
Thank you for for posting your question. You stated that you are not able to get the printer "online", what exactly do you see happening, do you see flashing lights or something? The printer should be able to continue to print with the low color toner. Please post your response and we can continue to find a resolution to your situation.
Thank you,

Thank you for your attention. The "triangle" error light is continuously flashing and no amount of pushing OK or circular arrow (return to last menu) will stop the error light from flashing. It appears that we are totally out of yellow (not just low ink).

My magenta toner ran out today and we had 25 pages in the printers print que.
Very thankful to find this post. Worked as described.
It's the first time I have ran out of toner without a backup ... and all the stores are closed today for Easter.

Hi
Thanks for this answer - it's helped me out while I wait for a new magenta cartridge.
Is there any replacement for Toolbox FX: I know it's not supported in Windows 7, but I like to know if my printer cartridges are running out? Thanks for any input -

If your printer is networked, put your printer's IP address into your browser. This will allow you to access the printer menu's. I found this out when my 1515n suffered misalignment of the magneta toner and it enabled me to calibrate the printer, correcting the problem.

Thanks for the solution ..
Comments ..
The "Print Quality" menu is actually a sub-menu of "Main Menu", then "System Setup" .. to make that clear ..
I had attempted this prior to a software update, though the previous setup was not particulalry out-of-date, and I could not get to this menu option .. coudl this be a factor?
