Hi @AshishRamnarain,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Color LaserJet CP5525 is stuck on the "Please wait checking printer" message during startup. This can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to try to resolve the issue.

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Turn off the printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on.
  • Check Connections: Make sure all cables connecting the printer to power and to your computer or network are securely plugged in. Loose connections can sometimes cause startup issues.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model on the HP website. Updating the firmware can often fix bugs and improve performance.
  • Reset Printer: Perform a cold reset on the printer. This can sometimes clear temporary errors and restore normal operation. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a cold reset.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Even if there are no visible paper jams, there might be small shreds of paper stuck inside the printer. Open all access doors and carefully inspect the printer's interior for any obstructions.
  • Clean Printer: Dust and debris inside the printer can sometimes cause issues. Use compressed air to blow out any dust from the printer's interior, especially around the paper path and toner cartridges.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue with your HP Color LaserJet CP5525.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
