HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Team,

since the installation of the HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e printer i can see into his system event log the following messages:

e.g. many Warning: F0.03.09.08

and some Errors:     F0.03.09.05 / F09.03.1F.0F / F0.03.12.04

installed FW Version 6.20.1.5-20240 3010422

Also, sometime the printer is not reacting. No Error Messages / No Display Messages. Ping to his ip is working (using Ethernet Port only, wlan disabled) but web site is not responding. After a power off/on the printer is working normal...

Hi @UwLon ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e printer is experiencing a variety of error and warning messages in its system event log, as well as occasional unresponsiveness. Let's break down the error codes and try to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Warning: F0.03.09.08: This warning code typically indicates a problem with the printer's firmware. It could be a minor issue or a warning about a potential problem.
  • Errors: F0.03.09.05 / F09.03.1F.0F / F0.03.12.04: These error codes could point to different issues such as firmware corruption, hardware malfunctions, or communication errors.

Given that the printer becomes unresponsive at times and requires a power cycle to resume normal operation, it's likely there's a deeper underlying issue.

Here's a troubleshooting guide you can follow:

  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates address known issues and improve stability.  Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check Connections: Make sure all cables, particularly the Ethernet cable, are securely connected. A loose connection could cause intermittent communication problems.
  • Reset Printer: Try performing a reset on the printer to clear any temporary glitches. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to reset it.
  • Network Configuration: Double-check the network settings on the printer to ensure it's configured correctly. Make sure it has a static IP address assigned and that there are no conflicts on the network.
  • Diagnostic Tools: Use HP's diagnostic tools or software to run diagnostics on the printer. This can help identify specific issues and provide recommended solutions.

I hope this helps.
