Please help! Having ink system failure. “Customer Service” takes hours to speak to someone. Tried all other advice like unplugging, etc. Cleaned the print heads on the machine then got this message.

  • Clogged printhead: Over time, the printhead of your printer can become clogged with dried ink, preventing it from properly dispensing ink onto the paper. Cleaning the printhead may resolve the issue.
  • Damaged ink cartridge: If the ink cartridge in your printer is damaged or defective, it may cause an ink system failure error message. Try replacing the ink cartridge to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Firmware issue: In some cases, a firmware update may be necessary to resolve an ink system failure error message. Check your printer's manual or HP's website for instructions on how to update your printer's firmware.
