OMG! It woked on my D7360. Thank You! Thank You so much! I almost throw it away and I only have used it 3 times from the day I bought it new.

It worked exactlly as "Honor Student" says. I have a 3310 Photosmart printer and there are a few screws to take out and then carefully pry the front panel (where the SD,Compact Flash, etc) It will take a bit of force but it can be done. The same with the side panel, look for plastci tabs showing thru the bottom and back metal frame and pry and press at the same time. Be carefull. Then remove the 4 screws holding the electronic board in place. You cannot pull the board out very far but it is enough to get at the 2 top white ribbon cables. Tug carefully and follow "Honor Student" direction. Once you have ran the printer and pressed OK,  shut down the printer with the ON button. It will shut down and then unplug the printer power cord. Then carefully plug the white ribbon cables back in. It takes a little effort to do but is can be done. Not much room to work so I used a small pair of needle nose pliers to grasp the cable. Took several tries but I got it and by golly it works.

Now my problem is it ran the initilation proceedure and it is showing a Cyan cartridge needs replacing. Could I now have a ruined printer head due to running completely out of INK?? Not sure if that is the only cartridge that is bad but it is the first on the screen. I found lots of refill kits on Ebay, are they worth buying?

:generic: YES ! It worked with an HP Photosmart C6180 just with some different flats.

Unplug USB and power cable.

Look on the right side, this one where there are USB and SD ports.

Looking rear you will find a torks screw and an other one the top of the front side that you will see when the cartridge door is opened. (NOT SCANNER DOOR !!)

Dismount these two screws.

Now dismount the right plastic panel, keeping up the upper plastic lock and turn it down on the table.

To do it also move the silver plastic cover of SD slot, there is a lock just on the bottom of it.

Now you will see 3 white flat cables and two black flat cables.

Remove all flats EXECPT the white one that is alone on back of rgiht printer corner, because is the one of the control panel.

Now plug power and power on printer, so you'll get an error. (Possible carriage error.)

Without the plastic cover its possible that the microswitch that control the cartridge door is not pressed, so you can press it manually.

Now unplug again print and reseat carefully 2 white flats and two black flats.

Before to close the plastic cover plug cord again and the printer will be re inizialized and the error is gone.

In this try don't forget to keep the cartridge microswitch pressed.

Good luck, for me it worked!
