1. Is there a "sleep mode" w this printer = if the printer is idle for a specified period of time, will it automatically switch to a low or lower power usage mode to save electricity ?? If so, can I set or change the required idle time required to have the machine go to "sleep" mode? What are the steps to do this? 2. Is it advisable to never turn the the machine off in order to save ink usage & instead, just print a page a page every few days to prevent the ink from drying & clogging up the jets?

Hello,

Yes your printer has the sleep mode feature.

Power usage is reduced while in Sleep mode. After initial setup of printer, the printer will enter Sleep mode
after five minutes of inactivity.
Use the following instructions to change the period of inactivity before the printer sleeps.
1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the
Dashboard, touch two leaf icon.
2. Touch Sleep Mode, and then touch the desired option.

I guess the sleep duration is 5 / 10 or 15 minutes only.

Its noot necessary to keep the printer always ON to keep the ink from drying.  Most important is to Shut down the printer by pressing ON button. Do not unplug the power cord of the printer before you shut down the printer.
