Microsoft Windows 11

I'm getting a Printer Failure message on the printer, I saw someone on here who had the same problem so I followed the steps to fix it but that didn't work. I tried resetting the printer, I removed it from my devices to reinstall it, which I think was a mistake because now I can't install it anymore (edit: I managed to reinstall it with HP Support Assistant). and on the printer itself I can not access any menu because the error message is locking me out. I've unplugged it a million different ways to no avail.
It's still listed in the hp smart app which shows the same error message (no error code). it shows it's still connected to the network.

one more thing I noticed is that in the app it shows the black ink to be almost empty which should not be the case I just replaced the cartridge and have not been able to print with it at all.

Also when I try to contact support the website asks me to give the serial number but every time I do it says the serial number is invalid

Hi @AllyPC,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

If you have performed all the steps from this document and still having issues, then the printer needs to be checked.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
