We have an Officejet Pro 8600 that will not feed card stock paper. This was the printer I used when I was working and does a great job on standard paper but it won't take my wife's craft card stock paper. We used to have a HP Deskjet F4400 all in one and that one was able to print. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

John,

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

Try telling the printer what kind of Media you are printing -- if your Media settings in Printing Preferences do not include "card stock", you need to pick something else that is similar:  Brochure matte, index card, "something" that kind of sounds like card stock to the printer so the printer is expecting "thick" paper.

I went into my printer preference for paper, card stock wasn't listed.  I tried photo paper and specialty paper and neither worked.  I still get the jammed message every time I try to print.

Assuming for the moment that your printer is the same model, please see and follow the suggestions from the Printer's Troubleshooting Section on this subject:

For more possible focus on your issue, please start a new Thread of your very own -- include the model / Product number (NOT serial number) of your printer, your operating system, and a brief description of the steps you have tried to rectify the problem.

The Printer was printing on card stock yesterday without any problems.  It does print on regular paper.

Has anyone encountered this problem, just card stock that is kraft, it has a slight waviness, is there a brand of craft specifically for printers HP Envy 4502

I had trouble finding the Printer Preferences.

One place that they exist is:

Print Dialog windows/Properties/Paper Quality

Set the Media to: Card Stock

It does work well after you do that.

Sorry. This did not help. The 4500 Envy is a cheap, ink-eating machine that has few options except normal printing.
