Photosmart Plus B210a, Windows 7 64 bit, hard wired to computer, using the software that came with it about 6 months ago.
Problem: cannot find shortcuts. Especially want duplex.
My previous unit, B209a had a full menu of shortcuts. I expected shortcuts on this one.
Is there an update?
Did HP cheat me? Is this any way to treat repeat customers? I expect HP to offer an update. How do I get it?

When printing Word 2007 documents on my HP Officejet Pro 8100 (Win 7 OS), I have the default printer settings set to print duplex documents front to back, but they always print back to front instead. I've tried disabling the advanced printer features as suggested in another post, but the documents still print back to front. If I print PDF files, they print front to back as they should so this seems to be something that's peculiar to Word 2007 files.

Whenever I try to print in duplex, the top and bottom margins grow by one-half inch in size. This does not happen when printing on only one side. I've tried just about every combination of print settings but to no avail. Is there a fix for this problem?

Word has its own set of defaults for page order (different than the one in the driver). For Word 2007 this is tucked away in Tools, Options, Print, Reverse Print Order.
I am not an employee of HP, I am a volunteer posting here on my own time.

When I opened Word 2007 I didn't find a "Tools" menu, but when I checked the Word Options I found under the print section that there was a checked box that was for Print Pages in Reverse Order so I unchecked it and that fixed it.

I have an HP7680 All in One with Duplex Unit which has been fantastic - until today!
When printing 2-sided, it normally prints page 1, and then before spitting it out onto the tray, sucks it back in to the duplex unit, turns the paper round, and then prints on the other side. But today, it's spitting the paper out first go, and then whirring away inside, telling me there's no paper inserted. I click ok., then it picks up a new piece of paper, and prints on that - reversed, as if it was printing on the back of page 1.
Clearly somethings happened but I can't think what. No new updates to my knowledge. I've done the usual switch all off & restart; remove the unit & clean etc,m but no joy. Please help, as it's mightily inconvenient not being able to print both sides automatically, and has slowed printing down to an unacceptable level.
I'm running Windows 7.
Many many thanks in anticipation...

I have an HP C6280 hooked up to a computer running Windows XP, and the printer is on a shared wireless network. I've just upgraded to a laptop using Windows 7 and the duplex function will not work on the printer. I've checked both the desktop and laptop show the duplexer as "installed," although it is "grayed out" on the laptop. I try to choose automatic duplex in printing preferences or properties when I try to print something and it won't "take" and won't print double sided. Help? What can I do?

Bob,
I've taken those steps many times from the beginning but when printing documents from Word 2010 with my HP Officejet Pro 8000 my choices are one side only or both sides manually. Other applications such as Adobe PDF will print duplex. Word 2010 is the only one that won't print duplex and that's the most needed.

Hello-As long as you use either Vista or Win7 Upgrade OS,you should expect to have the duplexer problem. Chech for a HP patch that is the best solution. Search this site for the HP duplexer patch. If it fails after n uses, your solution is to do a Win 7 clean install. It is free of this nusance. Otherwise, wait and perform a win 8 clean install. Good luck..
