Product: HP Envy 4527
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

 

I have an Envy 4527 printer, around 2 years old, which will only print in black and white 

 

The printer prints both colour and black with test pages from the printer but only black from the laptop,


I have looked at the support forums and have twice uninstalled and re-installed print drivers without success.


As others have found, there is no option to select black/white or colour under paper quality.


Oddly, the printer prints in colour when running the quality diagnostics from the Printer Assistant but not when printing a test page or any other document.


Any help appreciated!

 

This printer is gas lighting me!!!'

Been an absolute nightmare.

 

also had issues with it just refusing to print. Sometimes is does after a restart. Sometimes I need to use a new device. Couldnt be more unreliable. Horrific. Cant deal with it anymore. Anyone got a printer with Ethernet that works

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the color print issue. 

 

Download and install HP Print and Scan Doctor, it is a Windows tool to fix printer issues. Restart the computer after the process.
