Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

My hp c7280c has been in a coma for a long while and I am not ready to buy a new printer now that I need it the most, at least not from hp any more since they retired this model after getting paid for it. I had bought it in the hope that I would not need to buy any other one any more.

 

HP does not seem to care about all of these printers and all of the customers who trusted them.

 

Error code 0xc18a0201 is all I have to go by.

Searches for hp printer error codes returns nothing but mazes to aimlessly navigate through.

No specific detail for the full error code search; a list of all possible error codes in their entirety.

 

How do I fix it, since HP has shamelessly abandoned this and other models?

Also, the cartridges are nowhere to be found except by 3rd parties' remanufactured, refill and guaranteed to work sites that fall short of their promises.  A dead end street, to say the least.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated in resolving this issue so that I don't go seeking to pay a per page fee somewhere else.
