HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer

does anyone have any idea of why this *&^% printer just "cancels" jobs, without explaining WHY???  It will certainly print out any reports from the printer itself, but not anything I am asking it to print....

[personal info removed]    thank you!

Hi @LalaD01,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating that can be. Printers can sometimes be a bit temperamental. Here are a few common reasons why a printer might cancel print jobs without explanation.

  • Connection Issues: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to the computer or network. Sometimes, if there's a glitch in the connection, the print job may get canceled.
  • Driver Problems: Make sure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated or corrupt drivers can cause issues with printing.
  • Paper Jams: Even if there's no visible paper jam, there might be a small piece of paper stuck somewhere in the printer that's causing it to cancel the job. Open up the printer and check for any obstructions.
  • Low Ink or Toner: If the printer is running low on ink or toner, it might cancel print jobs. Check the ink or toner levels and replace them if necessary.
  • Print Queue: Sometimes, print jobs get stuck in the print queue, causing subsequent jobs to be canceled. Try clearing the print queue and then resend the print job.
  • Settings: Check the printer settings to make sure that everything is configured correctly. Sometimes, a setting might be causing the printer to cancel jobs unexpectedly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
