New Printer out the box displays an error code.  after restarting the printer, it shows firmware update unsuccessful, then goes back to blue screen error code 05F4DE48

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

I understand you are getting an error message on your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

We need to perform a semi-full reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

 

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

I am having this issue. I need support.

I am having the same problem.  I reset it as well.  Was working until I completed setup on the app.  Now I'm going to reset it again and try to update the firmware before I go through the setup

Is there any help to this?  I have reset my printer multiple times.  I have tried to manually update the firmware and that failed.  I have reset again and disabled firmware updates and it still blue screens.
