I am trying to set up my scan to email function on my scanner and I keep getting an error that it could not connect to server. Everything is working and my outgoing email test seemed to work, but when I try to actually scan a document to my email, it doesn't work. Please help!

@oversonlaw, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to scan to email. To assist you better, which email client are you using?

 

Follow the steps mentioned in this document - Scan to Email Cannot Access Email Accounts

If you are using a gmail account, make sure you enable 2-step verification in account settings. 

 

You may also try to create a shortcut as shown in this document.
